AMAZING!!

That is what Eli said when he looked out the window this morning and saw the snow. It was so funny, he just kept saying it, "Amazing, it is just amazing!" And really, it is. The snow that wasn't yesterday, was today. And from the quick look at my blog friends, everyone is enjoying it! Check them out too--Jamie, Ashley, Alison, Amanda, Laura K, Laura S, Kelly, Kyle!!

We started off the day making pancakes. Well, Eli and Gran made them. He made the biggest one for me!

Then we all bundled up and headed outside. Most of the neighborhood kids were already out and quickly came over to our house. It cracks me up because Eli is about 5 years YOUNGER than any of them, but they love to come over and play. So, all the kids ended up in Pop's truck and had a snowball fight with POP!! It was so funny to see Pop throwing snowballs at these kids he has never even seen!! But he was their target, so it was all fun!

Eli played with his digger and dump truck and made snow angels. Jonah just walked around, I think he thought it was quite funny. He didn't stay out too long, but he had fun while he was out.

When we went back inside we made chocolate chip cookies for our "snow day treat!" (any reason for cookies!) Then they boys played and played with Gran and Pop. Eli didn't want them to leave, but when the boys went down for naps, they headed out. It was so nice to have them here while Scotty is out of town! What a great day--and we get to pick Scotty up at the airport later!!

No fair! You got more snow than we did!!!! We're in East TN so we should be getting more snow than you guys! The snow we got yesterday had melted by lunchtime. I kept hoping that we would get some more snow today, but no such luck. We just got rain with an occasional flurry mixed in. Looks like they're calling for another chance of snow later this week-end maybe. We'll wait and see. Glad that you guys had fun in the snow, and what a special treat to have your parents there with you guys!
