This One Is For Papa

My boys are very blessed to have grandparents who love them beyond belief. E & J love to hang out with all of their grandparents and get to do special things with each one. Papa (Scotty's dad) has "outdoor toys," just a few of them!:) He recently bought a new tractor--the one with a side seat for his riders! I thought he was kidding when he told us about it, but he wasn't. I didn't get a picture of E in it, but he was smiling real big up there in HIS seat, with his seatbelt on, in the air-conditioned, radio-playing, cool & comfortable cab! I think this is why S calls the men in his family "gentlemen farmers!" Not too much roughing it in a ride like that!

Papa also has a four-wheeler. This one makes me a little nervous, but I am SURE anyone who rides the boys exercise extreme caution! Here is a picture of a proud Papa and his grandsons...

I don't know who loves being out "checking the cows" more--E or Papa, but they both have a great time. J is now hitting the age where he knows they are out and wants to be out there with them. Sometimes it takes a little convincing for E to let him tag along. I guess that is just the way it will always be!

E is looking forward to going fishing with Papa soon. They planned to do it a few weeks ago, but they ran out of time! They were practicing with the fishing pole Sunday!

Papa also makes sure the boys always have a pair of cowboy boots. They both love to wear them. E wears them ALL the time, riding his bike, working in the yard, etc. We forgot to take them to Papa's house last weekend and it was almost a tragedy. Well, it was a tragedy for a while. E kept saying we could just go home and get them. He didn't understand the whole--home is over an hour away thing! J is just really learning to walk in his. He now asks to wear them quite often. And when he wants to wear them, there is NO talking him out of it. Here he is cheesin' it up for the camera--as usual!

Thanks Papa for loving our boys!
